Once again the Soup Lady has taken liberty with one of my recipes. I am a ONE pot man so there is no need for additional saute pans.

You saute the cut bacon pieces in the stock pot until it has rendered almost all its fat adding the oil or butter (margarine if you must) to keep it from sticking to the bottom. Then susrprise the onion and peppers into the bottom of the stock pot.

The benefits are no grease splatters because of the depth of the pot and no additional pans to clean up.

Bean Soup Afficianado

This sounds very tasty! Bean soup is one of the most nutritious and tasty soups you can eat. I found your recioe while searching on Google for bean soup recipes. Thanks for the inspiration, I think this will be tomorroe's meal - Can't wait to try it.
