They look yummy.

Sad, but I've not been to the Brown Palace. I NEED to go.


Hmmm - seem more like the old Bauer's than the Enstrom's. Enstroms of course comes in large broken chunks. Bauer's is gone but Enstrom's lives on.

Bauer's was across the street from Neusteder's dept store in Denver. My mother lived her whole life in denial about her Neusteder's addiction. She beleived Bauer's made the finest chicken salad sandwich in the world. They also had ice cream and candy.

Interesting that they gave you candy. When I was a kid you could go get all the candy you wanted as long as you bought it at the newsstand downstairs.
