A baby-faced Air Force guy moved along next with me as we boarded the flight. When did they start making them so young? Six feet tall, thin as a pin and baby faced, but looking so sharp and crisp in that attractive blue uniform and those shiny, shiny shoes. He sat down in the middle seat of the row in front of me. When the foot traffic died down, the flight attendant came to him and said that she had two aisle seats left open if he wanted to move.
He looked up at her with an uncomprehending look on his face while he tired to process what she was saying. She saw it and elaborated by telling him "I always take care of the servicemen first."
All the old moms swiveld around to look at him and said in unison AWWWWWW. Even Leslie Uggams murmured something. The tops of his ears turned bright red and when he stood up to move, two old guys clapped him on the back and his ears became bright, bright red all over.
"I always take care of the servicemen first."
Bravo!

If they would just service the caremen first once in a while...
