There's quite a little discussion going on over at the Coalition of the Swilling about the indecorous use of the V-word. I can sympathize with the notion of a little more decorum - or perhaps it's a search engine issue?
In that case, I'd just like to say that there is more than one V word and also more than one idea of what constitutes ladies' "naughty bits".
The artwork in question is called Charlotte's Vagina and is for sale on eBay for an ungodly amount of money. As artwork goes, it's pretty crappy and it's not very subtle either. It was created for set dressing on "Sex In The City" - big deal. The questionable sculpture featured in an episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond" was executed in a far more artful fashion. But hey, if the public wants the unsubtle sexual reference in their artwork, I'm here to supply it.
How about this? It's the Lucky Vulva Coin Purse. there's nothing subtle about that. Make your own - complete instructions can be found here. It's never to early to start on those Christmas crafts. I'm sure you know at least one person who'd like this.
I do.
Turned on its side, the painting looks like Charlotte-the-Hutt.

Very interessssting...but looking at "Charlotte's Vagina" (or the artistic rendering thereof) reminds me that Georgia O'Keefe's 1928 "Oriental Poppies" is one of my all-time favorite paintings.
The Lucky Vulva purse...well, that's another matter altogether. :)
