You know you travel to southern California too often if your whole trip is thrown off by a change in the salad menu where you customarily eat on the first night in town.
Do they still have Del Taco in CA? Now THAT was some belch-worthy food.

I was at a concert by David Lindley, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist for such bands as Jackson Browne and El Rayo-X, when he stopped between songs and waxed nostalgically for quite a while about Carl's Chili Cheese Fries.
They must be quite the schnizzle.

Yes, Del Taco is still going big in CA. Also In-N-Out Burger. The best California burger - where they know how to make burgers. Fully loaded.

The best place to eat in CA is Bobbi's in Camarillo. Best nachos grande EVER! Also loved In-N-Out, but CRAVED Panda Express. Unfortunately, none of those are here in NM.

Panda Express is excellent. Should make Top 10 on any takeout list. The original Panda Inn (Pasadena), that went before all the Expresses, is superb. Lovely restaurant and bar with great service.
Madalyn, why don't you come back after all the California-hating riffraff have left?
