Peepapalooza
When the man wants to be festive, there's no stopping him. Here we have photographic evidence of what happens when Mr. Sam runs loose in the kitchen while I am at work:

What you're looking at is Easter Bread - nuts, raisins and anise mixed into a sweet yeast bread, embedded with colored eggs, dusted with sesame seeds, surrounded by peeps and adorned with a plush rabbit.
We'll be driving up to Massachusettes today to deliver this to our daughter. Happy Easter to all my peeps.
And of course, it just woudn't be Easter season without the annual re-running of the world's best peepku:
behold the brave peeps
marching shoulder to shoulder.
comrads without arms
(I count ten peeps on that tray. It's a well-known fact that peeps come by the dozen. What happened to the other two peeps, Mr. Sam?)
Actually, they come in packages divisible by 5. So either he only had two single row packs, or one pack of 3 rows, and then *5* peeps are missing.
My favorite way of devouring them is bathed in hot chocolate.
